It's become an American tradition for TV networks to put on "marathons" -- a bunch of the same show or movie series in a row -- on or around New Year's. I know it's late for this, but as a public service, I've tried to collect a list of this year's TV marathons so you can spend some quality couch time being entertained.
Here are the marathons I've heard about for this year:
Twilight Zone (SciFi) -- 45 hours!
Marx Brothers movies (Turner Classic Movies)
James Bond movies (Encore)
Ugly Betty (ABC Family)
Monk (USA)
Magnum, PI (Sleuth)
Heroes (NBC)
MASH (Hallmark Channel and TV Land?)
Law & Order (TNT)
CSI: Miami (A&E)
CSI & CSI:New York (Spike TV)
Hannah Montana (Disney Channel)
Seinfeld (TBS)
Absolutely Fabulous (BBC America)
Charmed (TNT)
UFC Fight Night (Spike TV)
Hee Haw & Mama's Family (CMT)
Entourage (HBO)
In the name of expediency, I'm putting this up now rather than take the time to research the exact details of these marathons. Please post corrections and addtions in the comments.
You're welcome. And Happy New Year!
