I did something similar when I was in London - I wanted to see the 'last station' on some of the subway lines. Many of them involved rides through nice country side. I didn't do all of them, and not one after the other. I probably would have passed out on a train.


Erm, I think you could do the entire Santa Clara Valley light rail system in less than a day.

I've done about two thirds of it in a few hours. Or are there more routes than I thought?

Recently I began riding a bicycle a few days per week to work (Almaden Valley to Apple) and used public transportation to ease the mileage as I got back in riding shape.

So I used everything from buses to light rail to CalTrain. At least eight different bus routes.

And I discovered something - it's relaxing and interesting to be out there in the world and not in your car.

So count me in if you do some crazy public transportation stunt!
