Moses was on drugs

Moses was high on drugs when he received the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai. According to Benny Shannon, a professor of cognitive philosophy:

As far as Moses on Mount Sinai is concerned, it was either a supernatural cosmic event, which I don't believe, or a legend, which I don't believe either, or finally, and this is very probable, an event that joined Moses and the people of Israel under the effects of narcotics.

Professor Shannon says this event and Moses' vision of the burning bush were likely "ayahuasca inebriation". Shannon's understanding of ayahuasca and religious visions is assisted by his personal experience with getting loaded in the Amazon.
