Yesterday was Labor Day, a holiday in the United States. Most people who work in offices had the day off as part of a three-day weekend. For most of us, the work week starts today, on Tuesday, so we have a four-day work week before the next weekend. So Monday holidays really have double value: you get (1) an extra day off, and then you get (2) an extra-short work week before the next weekend.
Hooray for Monday holidays!
Meanwhile, our European buddies get six weeks of _enforced_ vacation time _and_ free healthcare.
