Jim Caple at ESPN has written one of the most thoughtful columns I've seen about what's going on with Barry Bonds and steroids. Check it out to get an idea of the can of worms opened up by this issue.

This whole thing is too bad. Too bad for Barry, too bad for baseball and even more important too bad for baseball fans.

Cigaretts kill 400,000 people in this country alone. That is awell known fact. Alcohol conumption contributes to at least 50,000 deaths a year. Tha us also a well known fact. name just one person killed by using "performance enhancing drugs", just one, please. The problem is you can't. Also, I never see any street dealers hanging around the local high school selling "juice" If you ignorant reporters want to run your mourh, at least try to get informed on the subject at hand.
