This story tells about a man who was accused of murder last year. But he said he couldn't have done it because he was at the Dodgers baseball game at the time. His defense attorneys obtained and reviewed TV footage from the game, but couldn't find his image. Then they learned that HBO was filming an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" at the ballpark that night. When they got the HBO footage, sure enough, there he was. The judge ruled there was not enough evidence to try him, and he was released.
Sounds like a hoax, doesn't it? But I guess it's true: here's a story about the story.
This story reminds me of those dumb Fox Sports commercials in which two buddies go to a baseball game while the third stays behind, only to have some calamity befall him (crushed by a garage door, knocked flat by a hang glider).
