I'm really upset! It's 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night and I have just returned from the Olive Drive Sonic in Bakersfield, CA.
I took my kids there for a sonic blast and hot fudge sundae. Because there was no one else in the drive in stalls we used them so my kids could see a real carhop. I should have used the drive-in window.
We placed our order through the intercom and sat there for over 15 minutes while we watched half a dozen cars drive up to the window, pick up their orders and leave.
When the car hop finally dropped off our order we discovered after paying that the ice cream had melted and we threw the stuff away at home (the drive in HAD NO TRASH BINS!!).
I'm so angry at myself....had I checked the ice cream when we were still in the lot I would have hopped out myself and demanded my money back.
I don't know what kind of a two bit operation they have there, but I want my money back to make a point. Who do I talk to? The pierced and tatooed carhop didn't really give a rip. The teen workers inside were partying like it was 1969. Whos' responsible?
