A couple of biotech companies are working on a system to convert all blood to Type O. This would eliminate the most serious problem with blood transfusions: getting the wrong type. That's incredibly cool. My blood is Type AB, the most selfish type: only other ABs can take my blood, while I'm happy to take anybody else's.
