On Tuesday during Macworld Expo I had lunch with John Vink at Jollibee, the top fast food chain in the Phillipines. No, they didn't move Macworld to Manila -- there's a Jollibee across the street from Moscone Center in SF, one of 8 locations in the U.S.
John had the Aloha Burger. I was more adventurous and had the Palabok Fiesta. It's pictured here and described on the web site this way:
A serving of high quality bihon noodles topped with a special pork-shrimp sauce, garnished with pork strips, shrimps, toasted garlic, flaked smoked fish, pork cracklings and sliced eggs.

Hmm, I don't think mine had all that stuff -- I don't recall any "pork cracklings" or flaked smoked fish. Anyway, the skinny little noodles weren't bad, and the 4 tiny shrimp were cute. I also had a side order of Shanghai Rolls, tiny spring rolls made with an unidentifiable meat (reminiscent of a McDonalds hamburger) and vegetables.
The mascot is very cute, and the plush Jollibee toys were almost irresistible.

I went to that crazy place too, but the giant bee kind of spooked me.
