Barbara is off to the hospital tomorrow for a little surgery. With luck, all will go well and she'll be home in a few days.

Thanks, Dan, I hope it goes well too!
It's an oophorectomy -- ovaries removed, due to an ovarian cyst. This is a lingering effect of her illness last month.
I hope this isn't "too much information". ;-)
