Yesterday the NHL played the first outdoor hockey game in its 86-year history. The game was played at a football stadium in Edmonton. The temperature at game time was -2 Fahrenheit. Montreal's goaltender Jose Theodore wore a ski cap over his helmet:
"When I was 11 or 12 years old, I remember my mom always said, `Put a tuque on, you'll catch a cold,' " said Theodore, who wore a ski cap over his goalie mask and stopped 34 shots. "I just wanted to make sure she's not going to say anything when I go back home, so I put a tuque on."
